Austro-Hungarian Arilltery Uniform

8 July, 2010

the Author’s Great-Grandfather, Andor Kutas (fellow on the Right), in his Austro-Hungarian Army Uniform in World War One.

Nagypapa

Andor Kutas stands proudly on the right, while an older, distinguished and, as of yet, unidentified man, stands to the left.  Many thanks to the very knowledgeable group of Austo-Hungarian Army enthusiasts (from the ‘Austro-Hungarian Land Forces 1848-1918’ forum on Yuku.com) who identified the ranks of both gentlemen.

Andor Kutas was a Leutanant (Lieutenant) and his friend was a Oberleutnant (1st Leutenant); both were in the Artillery.
