the Author does not know the name for this type of wood building joint (if that’s even the correct term), but she admires it. Not the best insulation, though.

Update! The Author went back to Farmington Plantation in April 2016 and was surprised to discover that this wooden structure had disappeared! How odd.

    I think it would be called a corner dovetail joint.
