Matchy Matchy

6 February, 2013

The interior design of the Oak Hill bedroom at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is simply awful–but hilariously so. The reproduction wallpaper is documented to the contemporary Harrison Gray Otis House in Boston. Poor Harrison didn’t have the best taste.

The Author delights in such period reproduction rooms.

Impressive, no? It looks especially beautiful next to the curtains and chair. Further research shows that the carpet is based on an English pattern from the period (1800ish). Yuck.

Blech! And they took left over curtain fabric and draped it over the chair. At least they didn;t use leftover carpet fabric.
