Only one, only one, only one rejection

17 January, 2013

Well, probably one of many rejections.

Gertrude Stein received this brilliant rejection from Arthur Fifield of the eponymous publisher. Not being a huge fan of Gertrude Stein, the Author is particularly tickled by this missive.

Well, if I hadn’t already read “Mrs. Dalloway” this rejection letter would certainly make me want to avoid a Gertrude Stein book. … But I did.

Mrs Dalloway was Virginia Woolf, which I must admit to enjoying.

However, I do recommend you avoid Three Women, which I was forced to read in a module at Uni.
