    There should be a work for that. A word meaning “to point out and make evident a conundrum without in any way addressing (so to speak) said conundrum”. The conundrum, of course, being “which door should I knock on?”.

    How about “Koan”?

    Well, one door does have a mail slot, for whatever that is worth.

    Oh-I do like both words. I elect ‘impasstulation’ and give you full credit, Mr. John C.G.

    I find the solitary mail slot to be inconsistent, but perhaps the owner of the doors was doing a kindness to the postman; I can imagine him facing a dilemma over which mail slot he should deposit his post in.
