a Dinner Party that the Author Would Very Much Like to Join
5 August, 2010
What a lovely, sunny summer picnic, with fresh fruit, juice, salad and three of the greatest gifts to Film: Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn and George Cukor (who directed such delightful screwball comedies as The Philadelphia Story, Adam’s Rib and Pat and Mike). What good company they would make!
Don’t listen to that business about Katharine being ‘box-office poison’; it’s just a reflection of the pettiness and fickleness of Entertainment journalism, both today and in yesteryear.
