‘Comely Daughter, handsome Colt’
The Author sometimes mistakes ‘comely’ and ‘homely’ and at first though the National Geographic was being a tad harsh on the little girl.

Another lustrous, healthy Hungarian horse. They DO photograph well.
And just think, Opapa spent summers in villages like this, right around this time, up to 1938. (Well maybe he started a year or two after 1932, but maybe not. Can’t ask him now.
Yes! I know there’s a picture of Opapa wearing the regional attire of a village he visited somewhere in Hungary. I will have to go on a thorough search for it. I hope there are more!
